The Strange Phenomenon of the Healthy Vaccinee Effect
Studies of vaccines effectiveness may have been overestimating their benefit because people who get vaccinated are healthier before they get vaccinated than the people who don’t get vaccinated.
(The main web page for the ISID which published the study I talk about in this essay)
A recent paper from Czechia titled: Does the healthy vaccinee bias rule them all? Association of COVID-19 vaccination status and all-cause mortality from an analysis of data from 2.2 million individual health records. Published 2/2024 by the ISID. The BrownStone Institute then published an article about this paper. The authors of the paper write:
Lately, it has been suggested that the so-called “healthy vaccinee effect” (HVE) might be in play, i.e., that the vaccinated population might have been generally healthier than the unvaccinated one… observational studies are inherently based on the assumption of the identical baseline likelihood of dying due to COVID in both groups, HVE might have biased the results of such studies toward higher vaccine effectiveness.
What is going on here? The authors are saying that when comparing observational data, the people who get vaccinated started out healthier than the people who do not get vaccinated, consequently when you observe that the vaccinated population has a better outcome over the time of the study, what you may be seeing could be unrelated to the vaccine the people were given.
This is a remarkable suggestion, that even when you are looking a data set of two million people from one country (Czechia), there is a significant difference in health between the people who get vaccinated and the people who do not - with the people who choose to get vaccinated being notably healthier at the start, than the ones who reject the vaccines. Thus, when you look at the same people a year later, it is not surprising that the group that got the vaccine is - still - healthier than the group that didn’t get vaccinated. Quite likely because the vaccinated population started out healthier in the first place.
What Explains This?
I’d very much like to know what explains this.
Theory 1: If you are feeling sick you don’t get vaccinated. Thus sick people remain unvaccinated and sick people are obviously unhealthier than the rest of the population.
Theory 2: If you don’t get vaccinated it’s because you don’t trust doctors in the first place and that lack of trust is reflected in your health. Corollary theory: people who trust doctors are healthier than people who don’t.
Theory 3: The people who didn’t get vaccinated had less access in general to medical care - due to lack of money or life circumstances such as remote from doctor’s offices. In other words: people who don’t get vaccinated are poor or isolated. Corollary theory: poor people and isolated people are unhealthier than wealthier and better connected people.
Theory 4: Those people who are unhealthy don’t see doctors regularly as they believe any doctor they see will complain about their lifestyle and will make suggestions for improving their lives which the unhealthy don’t want to hear.
Sure, there are people who do lots of reading about medicine & health and they maintain good health without seeing a doctor because they spend the time & effort required to maintain a healthy life style… But I imagine such people are increasingly rear in the USA & Europe.
Random Controlled Trials Solve This Problem
Studies on large groups of people whose overall health is known at the start and then the test subjects are divided into two groups who receive nearly identical treatment except one group gets the vaccine and the other gets a placebo - solves this problem. With large random controlled trials you can account for the differences between the healthy and the unhealthy at the start and adjust for that at the end of the study.
Such studies are not being done. Especially with regard to the mRNA ‘vaccines’.
It is quite disturbing that so few random controlled studies are done on vaccines in general. As far as I know, only two random controlled trials were done on the mRNA vaccines. One by Pfizer, one by Moderna. Both trails were done in Africa and the Pfizer trial lasted only 10 weeks. Oh, and the trail showed that the Pfizer mRNA ‘vaccine’ was useless because more people died in the test group than died in the placebo group. The Pfizer mRNA ‘vaccine’ should never have been allowed to be distributed because it killed more people than the saline injection.
Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine seems to have prevented some people from getting sick from C-19 but overall, the test subjects were better off not having the mRNA drug at all. This is a failed drug trial and there was no justification for allowing this drug to be administered.
Modern’s mRNA trial data has NOT been released, four years after it took place. My strong suspicion is that the Modern mRNA ‘vaccine’ was more dangerous that the Pfizer vaccine, which is why Moderna and the FDA stooges who approved both mRNA ‘vaccines’ have been fighting hard to prevent any data from the Moderna trial from being released.
